Source of revenue for Ft. Pierce Farms Water Control District is a non-ad valorem tax assessed to landowners in the District. A uniform maintenance tax of $25.00 is levied upon each acre, or tract or parcel of less than one acre, of land within the primary boundaries of the District. Statutory authority for the levy of the tax, fee assessment or charge is the Florida Legislature.
